Bohemian Switzerland National Park

I wanted to see more than just people and man-made places during my weekend in Prague, so I looked around and booked a day hiking trip with Northern Hikes .  They picked us up from the hotel and drove us 2 hours North West to the Czech-German border and Bohemian Switzerland National Park.  It was a nice drive along the way, passing lots of green fields and cute little towns.  As old as some of the buildings and towns in the area are, the park has only been a national park since 2000. Prague Blog

I was fortunate to spend two weeks of June in Prague for work.  The Czech Republic hadn't been on our radar of places to visit, but when the opportunity came up, and considering we had to reschedule our vacation for this, we decided to make the most of it.  I flew over on the weekend and after the 14 hour flight to Dubai and then the 6 hour flight on to Prague was ready to explore.  A few coworkers and I took the train into town, walked up the hill to the castle, and had dinner by the river.  It was a good way to get oriented and start to understand how the city works.
